So you have joined up, you’ve done your first class and your ready to begin your journey! So what now? We have put together some information to help you get familiar with some of the basics that you will come across around the gym. It can be a little daunting starting anything new, let alone MMA or Jiu-Jitsu! If you have any questions please feel free to ask your instructor or any of our staff at the gym and they will be happy to help you out.


  • Be on time for class
  • Always be respectful to your fellow students and instructors
  • No bad language
  • Bow before entering the mats
  • If you arrive late wait for the instructor to allow you to join class
  • Short nails, long hair tied up, good hygiene, please wear deodorant
  • No talking while instructor shows techniques
  • No jewellery on the mats
  • No shoes on the mats and no bare feet off the mats
  • Belt must be worn in all classes

  • 16oz Sparring Gloves (MMA, Kickboxing)

  • Shin Pads (MMA, Kickboxing)
  • MMA Gloves (MMA)
